Things you may need to know.

  • How do I book you?
Once we’ve discussed your project and availability, I’ll issue an invoice for the booking deposit. Your date is secured once the deposit has been received and cleared.

    Is a deposit required?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking date. This deposit is non-refundable unless I cancel the shoot.

Why do you require a deposit?
The deposit secures your date and protects against financial loss from declined work, advance planning, and any equipment purchases or rentals made specifically for your project.

When is the final balance due?
The remaining balance is payable before the final video(s) are released.

What payment methods do you accept?
Payment details are included on the invoice. Bank transfer is preferred.

    Are travel costs included?
Travel is charged per mile to cover fuel, time, and vehicle wear. This will be outlined in advance.

  • What happens if I need to cancel?
If you cancel the booking, the deposit is non-refundable. This reflects time reserved and costs already committed to your project.

    Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes. One date change is permitted without penalty, subject to availability and reasonable notice. Further changes may incur additional charges.

What happens if you are unable to attend?
In the unlikely event that I need to cancel, all payments made will be refunded in full.

    Do you have backup equipment?
Yes. I always work with backup cameras, audio, and media to minimise risk.

  • How do you work on the day?
My approach is natural and documentary-led. I aim to capture events as they happen, with minimal disruption.

    Do you direct people?
For weddings and events, I work discreetly and unobtrusively. For corporate projects, I can provide as much or as little direction as needed.

Do you work alongside photographers and event teams?
Absolutely. Collaboration is key to ensuring everything runs smoothly.

What do you wear on the day?
All black, you’ll forget I’m there!

  • What’s included in my package?
Each package is clearly outlined before booking. Any additional coverage or edits can be added if required.

How long will the final video be?
This depends on the project. Typical durations will be discussed and agreed in advance.

Can I request specific shots or moments?
Yes. I’m always happy to discuss priorities ahead of the shoot.

Do you offer social media edits?
Yes. Social edits can be added at an additional cost.

  • How long does editing take?
Turnaround times vary by project and workload, but an estimated delivery timeframe will be provided.

    How many revisions are included?
A reasonable round of revisions is included. Additional revisions or re-edits may be chargeable.

    What counts as a revision?
Minor timing or content adjustments. Significant changes to structure or direction may be considered a new edit.

  • Who owns the footage?
The footage remains the property of Northbts. Clients receive a licence to use the final video as agreed.

Can I use the video on social media and websites?
Yes. Usage rights will be outlined based on whether the project is personal or commercial.

Do you use the footage for your portfolio?
I may use selected clips for portfolio and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed.

  • How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible, particularly for weddings and busy periods.

    Still have questions?
Feel free to get in touch and I’ll be happy to talk through your project.
